Cape North is the north-western most point of land in Prince Edward Island, and if you're on the island it's worth the visit. Prince Edward Island is not large; so getting to Cape North isn't difficult and it is a very pleasant drive. Located near the town of Tignish, the cape boasts a lighthouse, a gift shop, a wind turbine... 更多
While this lighthouse is still in active use, its very ordinary. No great photo ops, the lighthouse is fenced off by a high chain link fence. There is a huge cell phone tower erected right next to it. Would be a great spot for night sky watchers, as no light pollution anywhere around. There is a restaurant and gift shop.... 更多
Great view from the Northwestern tip of PEI. Well worth it to get out of your car and head down towards the water. On the way back, be sure to drive through Alberton!
We drove all along the North Cape Coastal Drive, and one of the main places we wanted to stop was at this lighthouse ! We went on a rainy day, so the view wasn't the best but it was great to have stopped here ! This place is known for the Wind Energy Institute.. at this location there is also... 更多
Definitely worth visiting.....there is a gift shop and a restaurant here as well an interpretive centre for the wind turbines but best featore is the walk.....about an hour round trip along the cliffs
Very scenic place and easy to navigate by foot. Warm water in the summer, beach area is a bit rocky. Cairns (rock piles) left by locals and visitors add charm to the place. The most scenic spot would be at the back of the lighthouse, offering panoramic views of the lighthouse, the nearby wind farm, and spectacular bluffs touching the... 更多

Has a large gift shop on the basement of the Visitor Center. Also, there is a museum next to the giftshop. You will learn how wind generate energy. North Cape filled with wind mill. We did a short hike along the shore to get a view of the natural rocky shore.
My husband and I spent several hours at this point taking in its raw beauty! We had a little picnic lunch packed and had the greatest time having lunch, listening to the ocean and the birds with the sun shining and a gentle breeze! Memories of a lifetime! I recommend you do the same :)
