We stopped at the Botanical garden on our way from Kleinmond to Pringle bay. The entrance price is affordable and the gardens are beautiful. Although there is plenty to see that's wheelchair friendly there is quite a lot for the active walker. The garden area is very well maintained and clearly set out with quite a lot of information. We visited last year and found the gardens in even better condition this year. Lovely plants well arranged and signposted with lots of birds on the flowers. There is also a very good tea room.
We added this on to our trip to the Penguins what a delightful experience we took the circular flat route then made a detour to the waterfall well worth the visit. The Gardens are in excellent condition considering the drought. We took lots of photographs and my husband managed to get one of a sun bird.
No visit to the SW Cape is complete without visiting these gardens and nature reserve. The gardens are well laid out and superbly signposted and a real botanists paradise.
