We rented a cottage for a week in Walsingham. I visited the shrine several times and attended services 3 times. We had a superb lunch at the shrine. Really great food.
What a lovely relaxing tranquil place. We stayed in Milner wing of the Shrine a double on suite room, Not a lot of pilgrims at this time of the year but attended some lovely services. The food was excellent all week.
This shine has some very unusual features (check out the orthodox chapel upstairs)making it well worth a visit, with beautifully maintained gardens and a great tea room this an wonderful place to spend a couple of hours whether you are religious or not.

I love going to Walsingham as it's overall atmosphere is calm, serene and pretty, just like this church. I always light a candle in this church and it's a great place to come and reflect.
