I was not touched as many are when visiting. You will see bus loads of students visiting the Church of the Black Christ.

There are a lot of stories attached to the Black Christ and it's well worth stopping at the church to view. I don't think I'd personally drive all the way to Portobelo to see it, but some believers go to extensive efforts to show their respects... even crawling on their knees through town to the church.
