We stopped here while on a snorkel tour, the only way to get here is by boat. We did not go on the island itself but we did snorkel off of it and there was a lot of marine life to view. No one lives on the island and it appears that most of the tour companies go here.
Tintamarre island is definitely worth the trip. The wife and I were on a guided boat tour when we stopped to snorkel here and boy did it deliver! We got to swim with a few sting rays, the wife got close to some barracuda and there were lots of fish. The beaches and water were absolutely perfect.
Be sure to go beyond the beach where all the charters stop. Our guide took us around the other side of the island where we were able to snorkel in the coral reef - there were nurse sharks, turtles, stingrays and a wide variety of fish and other sea life - just don't get too near to the shore or... 更多
Tintamarre island is off the coast of the french part of St. Martin. You'll need to charter a boat to get there - easiest from Cul-de-Sac. The island itself contains different types of beaches (sandy; rocky; the east coast even has loads of petrified sponges). On "top" of the island is a former airfield of 600m, too heavy growth to... 更多
A secluded private beach only reached by water. A nice quiet chill time , snorkel, have a picnic and chill lax beach. calm waters and about one hour sail from Oyster Pond on CAT. Waters can be rough with 5-10 ft waves as normal travel from St. Maarten so beware of sea sickness. It is super hot at this beach... 更多
Gone a million times to st maarten, but this was the first time we took a private tour to Tintamare. It does not disappoint. Saw a LOT of sea turtles and swam just next to us! Amazing!!! Tour guide tooks us afterwards to Creole rock and saw Lots and lots of fish too...! Must have!
We took a 4 hour snorkeling tour with Captain Alan's to Tintamarre Island. It was so worth it! Snorkeling on one side we were able to see the sea turtles feeding on the grasses and the stunning beach. On the other side was a nature reserve and we snorkled through the coral reef. This was the highlight of our stay... 更多
We visited here whilst on a day excursion and spent a while snorkelling by this island. There were lots of turtles to see feeding along the bottom of the sea and they occasionally surfaced as well. Well worth a visit.
This island is like the photos you see of the Caribbean - empty, idyllic, quiet. That is until the charter boats arrive. We anchored around 8am & were the only ones at the beach. Snorkelling is almost non existent but there are sea turtles you can see feeding - they sometimes pop up but not much in the way of... 更多
