We went to this place on a snorkeling excursion. The beach area is nice enough, but no better than on SXM, and has sea grass just off shore. Hundreds of people are chasing a few turtles in fairly deep water. We were not allowed to bring shoes, but I wish we could have. Just a short distance from the beach... 更多
We came with Captain Alan's snorkeling tour. It was wonderful. The south side is a calm place to snorkel, where sea turtles make a nice swimming buddy. The west side has coral reef and under the watchful eyes of the crew it is quite safe to take a closer look at the coral reef formations while drifting with the ocean... 更多
Stopped her with a day trip of 3 islands with the Swaliga. Turtles were there but you really had to watch to see them and they were big...some at least a meters wide. Clear water...nice little beach. The snorkelers seemed to enjoy the stop. Nice place to stop on a day trip doing a tour not a all day stop.
Turtles, Stingrays, sea urchins, and fish galor!!! You need a boat to get to the island we use Captain Allen's and they were amaizng. There r no inhabitants to the island but this is a sweet spot for snorkeling. I would reccomend taking a boat ride here!
You gotta have a boat to get here! - Bring your mask and snorkel. You WILL see turtles! And loads of other fishes and shells on the sea floor. The beach or bay is gorgeous! Makes for a picturesque walk along the beach! Bring a float and tie off or just let the current float you along the bay... makes... 更多
we had a wonderfull time snorkeling here with the Turtles .It was the highlight for me and another item off my bucket list,To be able to swim with the sea turtles and watch them in their natural habitat was simply amazing. There will definitely be a return trip someday
We went with a snorkel tour to Tintamarre Island where we swam with the Sea Turtles. It is a preserve and seemed to be very well protected. The Island is pristine though we did not spend much time there. Swimming with the Sea turtles was a great and memorable experience.
Green sea turtles, "friendly" sharks, tranquil, crystal-clear water, deserted beach when you go early and off-season. We were told you can see plenty of colorful small fish at the rocky end of the beach, but we did not venture there, as we had plenty to see off the beach. A boat drops you off close to the shore (no pier... 更多
We stopped here while on a snorkel tour, the only way to get here is by boat. We did not go on the island itself but we did snorkel off of it and there was a lot of marine life to view. No one lives on the island and it appears that most of the tour companies go here.
Tintamarre island is definitely worth the trip. The wife and I were on a guided boat tour when we stopped to snorkel here and boy did it deliver! We got to swim with a few sting rays, the wife got close to some barracuda and there were lots of fish. The beaches and water were absolutely perfect.
