This is an English manor house near the town of Sevenoaks and is another National Trust site. It was built in the early 14th century. Ightam Mote is simply beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and we really enjoyed just sitting on deck chairs soaking up the sun and the lovely surroundings. Very enjoyable visit. Lots to see in the house. Stood on the square of carpet used in the Queen's coronation which is in one of the bedrooms. Helpful volunteers. Delightful garden tour with nice lady.
My favourite National Trust property to visit, the grounds are beautiful and the room attendants are so friendly and knowledgeable. We went for a visit on Saturday, easy to find. Was totally amazed at the Beautiful Building, it is National Trust and the history dates back to 1320, Natural springs feed the surrounding moat.
