Beautiful house and gardens this National Trust property is well worth a visit , nice walks in gardens and you can rest in deckchairs that are scattered about. Some staff a little abrupt.
We went there when it was opened and had an introduction about the house. It was very good. Unfortunately, the house was flooded in June therefore the room which was flooded was close. We really enjoyed our time at the garden, a good place to go with children to play in the garden.
As a National Trust property you always expect high standards, but Ightam Mote always surpasses expectations. Smaller than many other NT properties, it is a hidden gem! Nestled among trees, the house reveals itself as you walk down a hill (there is another entrance for people less able for the hill). Is it a medieval castle? Surrounded by a moat,... 更多
Had a visit with my partner. Nice old building to look around. Fully furnished in lots of oak furniture. Situated in a lovely setting, the gardens were lovely but not that massive. Had a nature park for children, that would be OK for a 2yr old but totally boring for older ones. Still a good day though.
Unusual and interesting house bounded by a moat. Unfortunately some of the rooms were damaged by a recent flood so not accessible by visitors. Lovely garden -and we were treated to some medieval dancing and music by folk dressed in costume. Excellent day out.
A great day out in a superbly kept gardens and restored buildings. Even with the recent flood damage the National Trust have the place open for business complete with many historians in various rooms to tell you important historic facts and answer questions. Nice little tick quiz for the kids and keep them busy. Little cafe next door was nice... 更多
Ightham Moat has a house and gardens as well as a cafe and shop. The house is nice to look at and some of the rooms have information cards so you can find out more about them. The gardens are lovely quite a lot of them are laid to lawn but great to walk around with plenty of seats to... 更多
Interesting to see a house with a moat and to hear the history of the house. The gardens are very nice. There had just been an unusual flood here, so we couldn't see all the rooms, but this was still well worth a visit.
This on of the best trust houses we have visited it is outstanding, with a lovely tea house with seating outside. We enjoyed the talk by one of the volunteers, most interesting. We visited on the Wednesday and went again on the Friday because it was so good and I cant wait to go again.
Ightham Mote is a gem of a place. It is a 14th Century complex surrounded by a moat that has additional 15th Century Servant quarters at the top of the site. There are talks by volunteers both of the history and the gardens. The gardens are lovely. The cafe is like most National Trust properties excellent. This place has so... 更多
