A fascinating place in the green Kalahari with 20 million liters of water that flow from the eye. Just of the main road through Kuruman to Kathu, you find this interesting place. Parking is provided and an entrance fee of R15 per person. The area is quite dirty and fences etc in need of repair. Lots of plastic and tins... 更多
An interesting stop to see this amazing underwater spring. We found it interesting to learn of the volume of water generated by the Kuruman Spring. We liked to see the bible and National Monument - our history and heritage are always interesting. It is a relaxing place on the benches provided near the pool. Unfortunately the public litter floating on... 更多
The Eye of Kuruman in the North Cape Province is supposed to be a water well with some specific features. When we finally found it it looked like an unkept pool. Not worth a visit.
a Nice safe place to stretch your legs after a long drive. A small entrance fee is charged to enter and see the water well and the dam with clear water full of fish.
Stop in Kuruman on a family road trip. Our first visit in the small town was to see the famous Eye. It was terrible. Rubbish all over, broken lights and not looked after at all. This is very sad when such a special place is neglected! The local council should really do something about this.
Looking for a place to think or relax, see curious fishes, this is the place. nothing extraordinary about this place. watch out for albino fishes
This is a crying shame that the largest freshwater spring in the Southern Hemisphere is treated this way. Firstly it had to be fenced off to prevent the locals using it as a tip. But despite this, and an entrance fee of R17.00 it is disgusting - empty booze bottles etc - dreadful! Secondly, they have put lamps around this... 更多
One of the great wonders of South Africa hidden in a poorly signposted absolutely filthy rubbish dump supposed to be a park. Shame on you local municipality and residents. This is undoubtedly the dirtiest and most horrid town I have visited on my trip but the worst thing was to see the only attraction you are famous for filled with... 更多
This is a National Monument and the largest freshwater spring in the southern hemisphere and the life blood of the town of Kuruman - well clearly the Council does not think so - it is rubbish strewn (along with the other two public places on the way out of Kuruman on the road to Sishen). It must be because it... 更多
