Another of those places we've walked or driven past numerous times but never visited. At last we managed it and have been kicking ourselves for not visiting before, however, better late than ever. I had spotted this from thebus passing through.Stopped in nad was not disappointed.For £3 you get four rooms of fascinating local history.lots of odds and ends and a fascinating room about the pre war bohemian movie makers who lived and built their own bungalws out of old railway carriages!Archeology was interesting with quirky find of cat in hidden aperture making... 更多
Outside the intriguing stonework of a vey ancient building, inside a treasury of fascinating exhibits. I spent ages in the section of the area in the second world war soaking up information. The dedication of its volunteers is also to be commended in keeping this lovely little place going.
I find this place fascinating. The building itself is ancient and beautiful and the artefacts inside endlessly interesting. I learn and see something new every time I go. There is a regularly changing exhibition at the back upstairs.

This little historic building houses many artefacts from the local area. There are a lot of nautical pieces on display.
