We walked from D L Bliss state park to Emerald Bay and back one morning. Arrived at 8 am to beat the heat and to get a car parking space at the trailhead as they are very limited. Walk was about 9 miles (round trip) with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe throughout. A moderate walk with a couple of uphill... 更多
My sister and I hiked from this park to Emerald Bay. It was a moderately difficult hike mainly because we are from sea level! Trail was nice with no litter. Scenery magnificent! Take a camera and be sure to take plenty of water.
This was the best hiking we did during our three days in Tahoe. We hiked the Lighthouse Trail to the Rubicon Trail, which in total took a few hours. Park near the Lighthouse Trail trailhead to begin. This particular trail is mostly uphill and wooded, intermediate level hiking with elevation changes. There is not much to the actual lighthouse, but... 更多
Nice hiking trails throughout, but I would pass on the lighthouse hike next time. The Lighthouse isn't much to look at and there are prettier hikes in the park. The beach was breathtaking, and probably my favorite view of the entire lake. Would return for more hiking!
The park was only open to pedestrians in early May. We had to park at the entrance and walk down the paved road to the Rubicon trail. It was totally worth it, wow! We spent our afternoon walking to Emerald Bay and back with a lot of stops for taking pictures (2.5 miles one way). Amazing!
I have never camped here, but the beach here is pretty awesome, and if you know where to go you can do some cliff jumping into the lake and if you're really ballsy you can find a rope swing, but seriously don't do the rope swing cause you'll die. There's also a ton of nice hiking trails there as well.
DL Bliss was the perfect camping area for us. The biggest thing we wanted to do in the Lake Tahoe area was the Rubicon trail, and the trailhead is in DL Bliss State Park! The camp hosts were so nice, they even lent us some cooking spray when ours ran out. Our campsite was cool, but a little inconvenient. The... 更多
Very aptly named - it is pure bliss. We are so glad we mapped this State Park into our itinerary. We had no idea what we would find. There is a long slow windy road through pine forests (watch for squirrels) and at the end is in a small parking lot, is a beach with beautiful views across Lake Tahoe.... 更多
This is a great state park for a day trip or a camping trip. Very nice hiking trails. Great beach access. Definitely a good spot to bring a picnic and enjoy the lake.
