This cable-car ride connects the Terrasse Dufferin with Lower Town for those not up for the steep stairway.
Fun and easy way to get from upper to lower town in Quebec City.
Inexpensive. Good view of the St. Lawrence River while travelling.
This short ride is very welcome when getting around Quebec City. It's a quirky experience and enjoyable. The views on the way up are great.
Save yourself the steep climb and take the funiculaire when going from lower town to upper town and vice versa. At a cost of $2.50 per ride per person, it's well worth it. Nice view lower town.
The Funicular itself isn't really anything special, but when you're in a hurry to catch a tour from the tourism office, it does save you all those stairs and some time.
Either up or down, to and from the Chateau Frontenac and Petite Champlain... just 2.50 CAD it's a quick and easy way to avoid the Breakneck steps which may not be suitable for everyone...
Took this ride and it was the perfect view! It was freezing but you couldn't resist taking it all in
So fun to take the tram up the hill day and night, great view of Petite Champlain as going up and down. Its located in the little yellow shop. It operates until 11pm.
We tried this going down the Old Quebec .Take pictures as you go down .Before hopping in , shop along the way .There are shops where you can buy refrigerator magnets, shirts and other canadian stuff.
Definitely! Like Valparaiso's (Chile). Why not? Your kids will remember this for a long time. The views are nice and you'll feel like James Bond.
We took the funicular from the lower town to the upper town every time to save ourselves from walking up all those steps. I believe it costs $2.50 per person.
