I like it the view of the Plaine d Abraham the St lawrence River and the Structure of the Martello Towers .. a must see in Quebec
There are very impressive and easy to find in the park. The walk to them is easy and very pleasant on a beautiful day. The park itself is worth a visit. You should take the Avenue George V in the park for an easier shorter walk from the Citadelle. Don't forget to sit down on one of the many benches... 更多
After a rather disappointing visit to the Battlefields Museum which was all rather confusing the visit to the Martello Tower on the same ticket was a revelation. The concept of the towers and how it is now presented using ipads was very impressive. Some of the virtual reality was a bit weak but the commentary putting the tower into context... 更多
OK, so why is a stone tower that used to house a cannon cool? Because, they strap an iPad on you and when you hold it up to numbered markers throughout the tower, you see things that aren't really there! You hear from soldiers' stories, or see what they ate, or how the cannon works. Lots of hands on...kids love... 更多
Beautiful in the location of the Plaines of Abraham. This landmark will take you back in time and show you how the military strategies were used.
We visited with an 8th grade French class. The interpreters were excellent and kept the kids engaged while teaching them. One asked my son if he was a re-enacter because his movements when loading the musket were so precise...he loved that! Check it out...it's always good to learn when you visit new places.
We stopped at the Martello Towers (#3 I believe Beside the Plains of Abraham) for a school tour. We had two guides dressed in traditional military gear for the time who took us through the histories of the towers. Very interactive and a must stop to see how we fortified against American Invasion!
