I went to Miles End neighborhood for the famous Fairmount Bagel, but end up bumping into a neighborhood that is vibrant with restaurants, cafes, and independent shops. One of the main streets leading up to and perpendicular to Mont Royal Avenue. Lots of activity here even though MRA was pretty dead when we finally got there... There was a lot of street art - a big citywide exhibition, as opposed to graffiti - on corners and in carparks around Laurier, Sant Denis and Rivard, if memory serves.
