There is a lot of geology and a whole exhibit on shells. It is by donation and worth takingetting a look around.

This is a great museum to pop into and get out of the cold for a bit. It is on the campus of McGill University so you get to see some of the campus while you walk there.

Took my nice and nephew, for the weekend. And it was worth it. Especially if you go when they have the activity ( see website for info.). Even I learn some interesting facts. Make a rainy afternoon fun.

I was pleasantly surprised at being able to visit this museum for free during my visit to McGill University. Its natural history and anthropology collections were small but very interesting, and the museum itself is quite gorgeous. It won't rival the Natural History Museum in London, of course, but you also won't have to deal with crowds that huge, either.... 更多

If you like natural history museums then while in Montreal visit this one. If you don't like said museums nothing here will make you change that opinion. It has free admission which makes it worth a stop by for the appreciative natural history buffs. I said to my friend on the way out that if it wasn't free, I don't... 更多

The Redpath Museum, on the McGill campus, reminds me of the dusty, odd collections of yore. Its 3 floors has stuffed animals, from beavers to hippo, and a cheesy plastic squid; dinosaur, snake and turtle bones; loads of minerals and shells; a smattering of various other things; and the Shrunken Head. And it's free! Make a donation as you enter,... 更多

I can't believe my luck when my friend told me to visit this museum. The best part was that it was FREE! I got to see mummies, dinosaurs, shrunken heads, samurai suits and more! This is one of the best tourist attractions you can visit while you are in Montreal.

This is a small university museum that will keep you interested for quite a while. It seems forgotten because of it's location but take the small detour to see it. Well worthwhile.

This museum is like something out of a Tintin book, with everything from a shrunken head (maybe human, probably monkey) to Egyptian mummies, to wooden fetishes. Another highlight was a letter handwritten by Charles Darwin. The building itself is also beautiful and photogenic inside and out. Glad we went.

This museum is free. The cases and displays reminds one of an earlier time as if you have stepped into someone's private collection. There are dozens of stuffed animals, some eclectic anthropological displays, and even a few mummies. Equally as fun are the number of art students who come to do studies of the various animals on display. If you... 更多
