Very pretty church! We happened upon a Christmas program and stayed for about half of it. Of all the places we visited in Montreal, this was the place I felt the least welcome. Locals all over the city were helpful and fairly friendly, but we were glared at and made to feel very out of place here.
I would describe this church as pretty but not impressive. Maybe it just isn't my architectural style. It's worth a peek if you're in the neighborhood.
Well worth a visit. If you see Notre Dame first in Old Montreal this won't compare but they structure is magnificent. Enjoy it, worth a visit. Also there was no charge to go inside whereas as Notre-Dame is is $5 CAD per person.
P[en chorus rehearsals and performances at select times . . . whether or not you go ro a service or just want to appreciate the brilliantly beautiful chorus, it's definitely worth the stop. All sorts of other stuff going on at this lovely place. Always worth checking the weekly event schedule.
Sitting on top of huge steel piles, the Church is on top of a Shopping Mall..it is a lovely place to contemplate , meditate, pray for a few minutes amidst the Hubub of Downtown Traffic.
If you are just overwhelmed by noise from Ste Catherine street, from millions of people, and crowd, you just have to enter here and spend 15 minutes in pure beautiful atmosphere., lovely Church and excellent place for concerts. acoustic is great and perfect for piano evenings etc..
This is an Anglican cathedral, medium-sized, with a lovely rose window. It is a peaceful place to visit after the bustle of downtown.
