The Textile Museum of Canada is a rather specialized and small museum on Centre Street just east of University Avenue, a few feet south of Dundas. It is located in a low-rise office building sort of structure. Admission is $15 for most people. There are also annual memberships. The museum is located on the third and fourth floors of the... 更多

This tiny museum is on two floors tucked into the corner of a building. I had expected to see a permanent collection of textiles as well as the special exhibits, but there were only the two special exhibits. We enjoyed one but not the other. We were less than an hour to see the museum itself, then maybe half an... 更多

Paid 21$ to see a few examples of "how to make strange shapes with textile Althouge the art work is valued, the exhibition in boring and not worh the money. Not what I expected for a place called "textile museum". In addition, the parking was very expensive.

Tucked into 2 small floors of a non museum looking building, I must confess I expected more Canadian textiles on display. An interesting display of bead work and the current exhibition is by Sheila Hicks called Material Voices involving weaving and fibre art. A shop has a selection of gifts and momentos. There is an elevator.

This little museum is tucked away in the heart of the city but what it lacks for in space it makes up for in quality. If you like textiles and surface design than this place is a lovely discovery. For anyone in creative fields or fan of applied & decorative arts they have some great eye candy . A source... 更多

Not huge but interesting and well-curated with an extensive gift shop. TOP TIP - buy the triple pass for this with the Shoe Museum and the Gardiner Museum for 20$ and make a big saving

This museum was a gem! We loved both exhibits - Bliss ( flowered fabrics) and Beaded garments. The gift shop was wonderful. Very enjoyable.

I really liked this little museum, as did my teenage daughter; it is very well curated, with interesting but very focused exhibits. The gift shop is great, too.

It's a tiny place more like a store; couple of small stories with stuff sparsely filling the floor. Takes just half an hour to go through the whole thing.

It's worth getting a 3Pass which allows half price entry into the Bata Shoe museum, the Gardiner and the Textile museum. The textile and special exhibits are certainly worth a look as they are very visually appealing. I especially liked Worlds on a String which exhibited vibrant beadwork from many countries across the world. There were many other exhibits showing... 更多

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
