The last week or so the media has not been kind to the sugar industry as it alleges that they manipulated people in believing that sugar was good for your diet. This industry blamed other food and not sugar to cause weight problems, etc. The museum is right in front of the manufacturing plant and you can't miss it from... 更多

I was in Toronto for a few days and read about this Museum and so just dropped by hoping the Curator would be free and we could go round. It was and the Curator Richard Feltoe gave me and my Cousin a very informative and interesting tour of the Museum. I would love to come back to an open day.

The security guard was quite friendly. The curator is knowledgeable and has an incredible sense of humour when he explained how the factory works and the historical development of sugar. This museum also happens to have quite a few information about the history of Canada because the founder of the factory contributed a lot to the development of Canada. Well... 更多

I had my Grade 7-9 class in here. This place is interesting. Please don't go through without a tour guide though! That adds so much more. He told us stories, gave us hands on experience, explained the sugar making process very well, gladly answered our oodles of questions..... all in all, he was just great.

The museum is actually part of a sugar manufacturing plant. The fact is, you cannot tell if there is a curator or the security guard was the curator. People there was rude and aggressive. No matter what you ask, the entrance guard always ask you whether you are listening to him. I tried to visit the museum, and the guard... 更多

在Downtown的住宿

周围地区详细资料
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
