Not a flashy commercial looking place, but great place to sort through piles of rocks, hammer off chunks of Amatheyst and fill a bucket of the pieces you want for $10-20. Owner very friendly and knowledgeable. Gloves and glasses are helpful when breaking off pieces, but you can also just collect small pieces that are easy to find.
This place was recommended to us. We would not have found it otherwise. Hopefully writing this will help its popularity. A nice clean relaxed place. We were able to dig through piles and hammer away to our hearts delight. The owner was very friendly and helpful we came out with more amethyst than I could have hoped for. Very good... 更多
We spent a couple of hours digging through the mounds of rock & came away with some really nice rough amethyst. We filled 2 small buckets full for a total cost of $20. It was a great deal! We learned from earlier reviews to bring gloves and some sort of hammer with us so that was really helpful. It is... 更多
Lyndon is the owner and is assisted by Paul who also works the mine. Paul is very knowledgeable and will spend time answering your questions. Free to come and look and reasonable prices if you take some home.
First of all, the reviewer who said there is a $8 fee to get in has the wrong mine...that review should be removed. They are talking about the Panorama mine. This was a great experience for the first timer. Found many fabulous pieces and enjoyed talking to the the elderly gentleman who was in charge. This mine charges by the... 更多
My husband, daughter and I really enjoyed spending time at this mine. They mine the amethyst and then the leftovers are what you get to go through to look for amethyst. You get a large or small bucket and fill it with whatever you find. $10 or $20. We found some great pieces. Next time I would bring gloves, a... 更多
This place was recommended by our bed and breakfast place and was not a disappointment. I love seeing the pit mine and looking at the enormous piles of rock, digging for my own treasure. The value was not important to me, but finding the amethyst that called to me was. I had so much fun. This place was not fancy,... 更多

Pick your own or choose from specimens he has cleaned and are ready with price ranges from $3.00 and up. Fill a bucket for $20.00, he will reduce the amount if is not full. Does not charge by weight. Even large garden rocks... 更多
I was travelling back from Thunder Bay & wanted to see the amethyst store - figure shopping for Christmas. I took the road.. I laughed as I began to wonder if I was on the road the public was supposed to take (potholes..lots). I loved the views that this road offered though. And the signage along the way making you... 更多
