What a lovely little theatre. Seats, maybe 400. Seats are comfortable and there is plenty of leg room. Sound is very, very good. The bride wanted a Christmas concern and Quartette provided it. The four ladies provided two hours of mainly original songs, but added just a few familiar Carols which made for a nice mix. Their backing band (... 更多
This building started as a movie theatre, in the early 20th century. When it fell on hard times, it sat vacant for many years. Fortunately The University of Ontario Institute of Technology saw fit to purchase it as a part of their theatre and drama programme. It has now been totally refurbished inside and out. The floor is now sloped,... 更多
Saw Pavlo and Remigio on tour together at the regent theatre and it was an amazing show. They played for about 2 hours, the venue was great, not a bad seat in the place. It is a smaller venue so it was a very intimate performance. They did a good job at restoring the theatre when the university took it... 更多
Attended the "Hot Rod Cinema" last night at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa. Their is a car show right beside the theatre at 6:00pm and the movie, different every week, starts at 8:00pm. Last night was "The World's Fastest Indian". Best deal anywhere, $5.00 movie admission and a popcorn drink/candy combo for $5.00 plus a couple of door prizes. The next... 更多
I think my expectation was too high. Overpriced. Very small. Only chocolate and candy and pop for sale for $$$ and t-shirts and hats for 20$. Would have expected more from the performers. A few were excellent. For 40$ p/ticket not worth it. The 3 boys not interested 1 bit. (But loves the commercials ) lol. However girls under 7... 更多
My first time to visit the Regent Theatre. Very convenient in downtown Oshawa, with free parking in the municipal parking garage on weekends. Close to several nice restaurants for pre or post performance snacks. Great sound in the theatre, every seat is a good seat, and a variety of classic rock, folk and other acts for any age group. I'll... 更多
What can I say about this venue? Great sound, many great artists entertaining me for great prices, minutes from my home, did mention free parking. Oh my god..
The Regent Theatre on King St. E. in downtown Oshawa was built in 1920. It was one of the most beautiful theatres I had ever seen and once showed silent movies and continued as a popular movie house until the 1970s when it fell on hard times. In recent years it was purchased by the University of Ontario and used... 更多
