This site is the reconstruction of a typical Native village in the early 1800's. Their living quarters protect by high wooden walls. It tells us what life was like and what the Natives had to endure. Each year, in the same park is a war of 1812 reenactment.

First off, it is difficult to find. Entering the address in GPS took us to another part of Longwoods Rd not anywhere near the park. Had to stop and ask for directions at a roadside fruit stand. Visited here with my daughter who will be in Grade 3 in the Fall. I also teach Gr.3, so this is the place to go to see how the First Nations people lived long ago (Gr.3 Social Studies).
