We went there hoping for doing some canoe ... then realized the admin office was closed during the weekend. I did take a short walk around the little lake. We were the only ones there and maybe that is why I felt unsafe. The lake is not as good compared to other lakes close by in Ottawa or Quebec. You... 更多
We went here over March Break with nieces and nephews, family. Great for something to do. Kids loved it. They also loved the pancakes and treats. Only issue we had was there was no guided tours. There was even a sign for it. But no one was there.
I have been here a few times just to walk the trails and see the wild life. The area is a marsh so the trails are flat but can get wet in places. There is a good choice of trail lengths, and trails will connect to longer trail systems. I recommend visiting on week days when it is quieter, for... 更多
If you just want to go for a nice watershed hike, this is the place in Kingston to go. The trails are all easy; they're marked, groomed, and have little or no elevation change. I have lived in Kingston for nearly 20 years and with work and travels, I never really discovered this place until yesterday. My friend and I went Kayaking. We've done this before but in Quebec, this time it was to be close to home. The price was average, $15 ea for two hours. The Kayak itself was acceptable for the... 更多
Went there for the first time last fall and very much enjoyed the walk. Took our dog with us and prob walk 6 or 7 km. The trails are very well indicated and you have many choices of distance to walk. Very good place for the kids and family for picnic as well.
Every trail is a little different, every season a time of discovery! Spring brings many treasures to the forests and meadows. Listen for the rubberband orchestra of the bobolinks and the frogs on percussion. Watch for the bright red epaulets of the red wing blackbirds and don't forget to check out the orchard trail!
This a lovely, open approach to getting out into nature. For the past 3 years my family and I have gone to Maple Madness and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The wagon ride back into the woods for fresh pancakes and syrup is all part of the fun. There are so many trails for self guided hiking, walking/running, skiing, and just... 更多
