We are glad this stop was included in our tour. The history surrounding the Titanic disaster is fascinating when you have a good guide to tell you the stories. The burial sites were respectfully positioned in the cemetary and it was a solumn but memorable moment during our trip to Halifax.
We took the public bus to get to the cemetery rather than a tour. It was much cheaper, and we were able to spend as much time as we wanted there. The Titanic Grave Site is set up very nicely. There was a tour at the site, and we did hear some of the tour guide's explanation of the various... 更多
This is a wonderful and moving site. Be sure to visit the mass gravesite from the Halifax Explosion along with the more popular Titanic site. This is a way out of town. The Titanic graves are a must see when in Halifax particularly the child's grave at the end one of the rows. Research the event and the graves before going to help you understand the story behind some of them.

This is a very touching sight. The tombstones are lined up to resemble the shape of a ship, and there will be some familiar names among them. We were fortunate to have picked up a tour guide at the port who was very knowledgeable. If you are on your own, either do some research, as the stories behind the meanings... 更多
