The Bluenose II is a beautiful ship that has been a source of pride (and controversy) for Nova Scotia. Historic ships that keep the history and traditions of sailing alive are important reminders of the past. Watching her raise her sails in the Halifax harbor was breath-taking!
Spent a day in Lunenburg, and was fortunate that the Bluenose II happened to be there during my visit. It was a fairly windy day, so there was some doubt that we would be going out that afternoon. Fortunately, the wind calmed a bit, and off we went. What a ride - because it was a windier day, we got... 更多
Our tour guide recommended Bluenose for breakfast or any time if we were looking for fair prices, great service and decent food. Our breakfast here was very nice. You can even get eggs benedict with lobster, however eggs over easy with ham, potatoes and toast worked fine for me. I was also pleased that they have latte and espresso available.... 更多
A great place for tourists to go to get great food including seafood but not pay ridiculous prices. Great sauté or fried fish, good lobster sandwich. Great burgers all is good with daily specials.
Good quality and good food from this primary greek restaurant with a very large menu. Open many hours and reasonably priced go for good service and comfort food and you will not be dissappointed
Slow service but reasonable priced diner type restaurant. Expect to wait at least half an hour for a lobster meal. I was told that the lobster was fresh and it took that long to cook. Don't have the lobster if you don't like the idea of it being killed specially for you. (I felt bad about it.)
I've been touring the Halifax area for almost 2 weeks now and Lunenburg (the town where the blue nose II is located) is the most beautiful place I've visited. It features bright colourful houses, a variety of restaurants and lots of sail boats. It was absolutely beautiful, we did not want to leave. The bluenose itself is very cool to... 更多
Enjoyed seeing the replica of the famous tall masted Bluenose as it departed from Lunenberg dock. Its sails every 3 hours so you can see it under power or sail if you time it right. You need to book months in advance if you want to take the cruise, but check at the dock as they sometimes have cancelations or... 更多
We were lucky enough to be in Lunenburg for the first sailing of the season and on a very windy day. This is an experience not to be missed. Watching the professionalism of the crew as they put up and take down the sails is awe inspiring. When not taking care of their duties the crew mingle with the passengers... 更多
