We spent 11 days on the ECT in September covering 130 km of the route. The trail is well maintained for 90% of the portion we hiked. Although we enjoyed all the sections we hiked, we specially enjoyed the section from La Manche to Brigous South which was challenging with spectacular scenery. We used the services of the ECT Association... 更多
I have recently started knocking off each of the ECT starting with Fort Amherst to Freshwater Bay. I have made mu way to Petty Harbor so far! The scenery is amazing and the trails very well marked! I am trying to get to Cappahayden before too much snow comes! You won't regret any of the ECT hikes!
This trail covers many kilometers, over many discreet sections. I hiked the Spout path from Bay Bulls to Freshwater, the La Manche trail, and Port Kirwan to the Berry Head sea arch. All the hikes were great, but the latter the best. It was 20 kilometers, and I saw one couple the whole time. There is nothing to compare with... 更多
Look this up on google images and see how amazing it is! It is FANTASTIC, let me repeat that, FANTASTIC. Some spots are more scenic than others, as might be expected, but if you don't find it to be gorgeous in one spot, head to the next town and take the trail from there. This is worth it
Great drives along the east coast from Cape Spear down to Ferryland(as far as we got). Interesting history at Colony of Avalon at Ferryland and great scenery all along the way.
We hiked several sections of this trail and found the combination of history and natural wonder to be best expressed at La Manche. Use the road off highway 10, just to the south of the La Manche Provincial Park and park at the end to find the trailhead. Unless you have a map set, be prepared to be confused by... 更多
sometimes challenging, sometimes cold, sometimes wet, but always worth the venture. Scenic trails that will challenge your fitness and provide you with a rugged adventure covering up to hundreds of kilometres
I entered and exited the trail at several points and all my experiences were wonderful. This trail is very well maintained and you get a varity of eco systems along with your hiking experience. An experience you will enjoy and recommend to others.
This trail stretches across the east coast of the province and i personally have only hiked segments of the trail, still trying to complete it all. A quick search online of the east coast trail and you will find the various segments of the trail listed by location, difficulty, length and estimated time it will take. There are definitely some... 更多
As the title of this review suggests, make sure you do your research before hiking on this trail. That is because the trail goes around the entire Island and there are many sections of it. Decide where you want to start and end and make sure you have rides to bring you there and pick you up. You get to... 更多
