Every Sunday the local cemetery society meets at Ross Bay Pub - across Fairfield Road from the Cemetery to lead guided tours. The guides are members of the historical society and wealth of knowledge. my husband and i walked through ross bay cemetery,we just wondered through,reading the writtings on the tomb stones,sad in a way,seing how youg people have been taken away from this world too early,but quite a learning experience,make lots of time
Great place for a nice quiet walk and to see the deer who has apparently taken up residence there. Right on the ocean. Many famous people buried there. A good break from busy sight seeing
The History in the Cemetery is amazing. It's disappointing to find that some people would try and wreck the head stones of some graves. It is a beautiful walk and peaceful setting. worth a walk through.
Very nice walk through this historic cemetery. Lovely sculptures and beautiful location right by the ocean. Can't believe that a few tangers had defaced some of the markers. Some people have no respect.
OK, walking buy or in a cemetery may not be on my list of things I must see. However this place abounds in history and what a view. If you like this kind of activity, this may be for you.
The Ross Bay cemetery is an old cemetery. I am not sure if it is still used as a cemetery but it is for sure used by locals as a nice and quiet park. It is possible to take a nice walk, to just relax and read sit on a bench, to just stroll around the old tumbs and monuments.... 更多
