We were impressed by the variety of well-kept train heritage that was available for exploration! It's so nice to see a museum that is so open for interaction. Highlights were the wooden snow plow engine and the Grand Truck carriages. The mini train ride is not to be missed - even for the big kids!! A baby carrier is preferred... 更多
Living history. Both my wife and I grew up in railroad towns. Being a former trainman and bridgeman for the CPR, this place brought to life many of the times and experiences I have enjoyed. They have ample off-street parking and the entrance building is well maintained giving a good first impression. Went here with my brother form the UK who is a model railroad builder. He really enjoyed his visit as did we. The historical trains and articles on display are very interesting is that's your thing.
We had stopped at the local visitors information center and received a two for one admission voucher. So for $8.50 we had an enjoyable couple of hours going through the exhibits. Being able to walk in and around so many old train cars, locomotives etc. was very interesting. As I used to teach history in high school, I found this museum extremely interesting.
