Don't let appearance fool you this is a real nice piece of history mixed with restored pieces of Father Pandosy's Mission. It's like being in a museum that is outside. Great example of life back in the day. Hard to imagine living that way, we're so spoiled & soft in these modern times. Gotta respect the people that made the area what it is now.
I've toured this site with school children but primarily use it as a backdrop for photo shoots. Its historic old buildings offer a lovely background for family portraits. This old world display brings history to life. You are able to walk freely about and stay as long as you like. The buildings appeared accurate for their time period. This is a good place to take children and explain how after blasting through the Rockies the settlers then had to build a place to stay, worship, go to school... 更多
This is a really cool pioneer settlement. It won't take long to visit, but it is worth the stop. The new sculpture installation adds a taste of drama to the settlement.
Very well kept up mission - good explanations and history makes for a nice family outing and learning about the beginnings of the Okanagan fruit industry.

It's not a huge display but what there is gives a lot of insight into how Kelowna cam to be and who the people were who played a huge role in it's origin.
