This was a great little museum and information centre if you wanted to understand the native peoples of the area - Hwech'n - who unlike the Inuvialuit or Gwich'n seem to be (and call themselves) North American Indian. Great movies, staff are really helpful, warm tea on a cold day, excellent informative exhibits and WONDERFUL crafts all produced by local... 更多
Perfect location, beautiful building . Interesting information on the northern natives . Nicely done and friendly informed staff.
We were fortunate to arrive just as one of the First Nations guides was starting a tour in the visitor centre. He had a wonderful story to tell of how they are working hard to restore their culture. Very moving how the Gold Rush and then government intervention disrupted their way of life. Wee worth the time to visit.
We only had time for one museum and we decided on this one. We have seen other mining town museums in Colorado so we wanted to learn about how mining affected the people who were already living here. The informative movie included memories of the elders, passed down through generations. There is a changing exhibit and a permanent one. They... 更多
An important stop for visitors to meet local First Nations people and hear their story in developing a partnership with settlers that arrived with the Gold Rush and how it is still working today

The movie was an excellent historical presentation of this First Nation people's lives before and after the white man's gold rush disrupted their lives. Very well done. Also, very nice museum displays. An... 更多
We visited this center twice, enjoying the creative ways the aboriginal stories were shared. They are happy that people come to learn. This was our favourite place in Dawson.
We arrived late in the day and were fortunate enough to be directed to join the last tour group which were about 15 minutes into their tour. The young woman giving the tour was full of information about the native people from the area and how they were impacted by the gold rush. They also shared a lot about the... 更多
Highly recommend the video presentation which depicts the life of the aboriginal people. The center is a beautiful structure with superior displays. A must visit to gain a full understanding of the history of the area.
