Great hike for those that wish to see scenery, but are not sure of their physical abilities (i.e. seniors, or those not accustom to hiking more than an hour). You can hike the whole loop, or just to the toe of the glacier and still experience incredible views.
Was a few meters deep in snow and ice when I went, would love to go when the wild flowers are out. Really breathtaking scenery, I recommend going outside of regular tourist hours to really appreciate it.
The meadows are a great place to see a high mountain alpine plants and wildlife. Stick to the trail to the glacier lake for a fairly easy walk or go up the trail into the meadows for a better chance to see some of the wildlife. At the end of the meadow trail there is a trail that leads up...
