We went here with several adults and two children. There were bits of fun for everybody. It gets busy during days when events are close by, such as fairs. The 'staff', which are all volunteers have been super friendly. We learned a lot about the history of the train and enjoyed the ride. It is too bad that it can't... 更多
We took my toddler up to see the trains (and his train loving Dad). This is a hidden gem just north of Edmonton. Admission is inexpensive, it is not overly busy (we could let the toddler run!) and there is lots to see. From working old steam trains to ride (not far, but it was enjoyable!) to trains to explore... 更多
Have never seen such a great collection for historic trains! If you love history and nostalgia, this is the place. The volunteers/society that maintain these treasures can tell you a lot of stories. They keep the place running and are there to help you/inform you. Some of the Steam trains are still working. They have many trains there in various... 更多
The museum is a short pleasant country drive just north of Edmonton. The museum consists of a main building with a nice display of railway artifacts, and a historic train station. The highlight is three long rows of train cars, cabooses, and engines that can be explored on your own. Some are restored, some are not. The atmosphere is intriguing... 更多
My son (3 years old) is MAD about trains. So we go to the ARW about three or four times a year (operational May - September). It is a pleasant lower key outing for a family. They are quite busy on long weekends as this is when they fire up a large steam engine and go up and down the... 更多
Very interesting collection of old trains, buildings and memorabilia from the past railway days. The information board, timeline of the history of railways in Canada was very well done. Coming from a Railway family, this museum brought back good memories!
There are some old trains that you can walk through. For additional money you get tickets for a train that goes back and forth for a few time. Definitely a must see for kids, not so much for adults.
