I regularly visit this area: so much going on and many interests. There is an indoor farmers market every Sat., so many different businesses on Whyte and area to explore: everything from quaint bistro's and second hand shops to high end boutiques. The restaurants are as varied as the people that you see. When the weather is nice you will... 更多
Ok, I have to say this ... I've never been "wowed" by Edmonton. My brother and family live there, so I have been far more often that I'd ever have imagined. But it has never seemed like a place I could get right with. Then I discovered Whyte Ave (82nd Ave). It is as close to (Toronto's) Queen West as... 更多
Old Strathcona is an absolutely amazing place to take in some of Edmonton's most incredible scenes throughout the year; from the Old Strathcona Farmers Market to the annual Fringe Festival, which this year played host to over 800,000 enthusiastic visitors there is always something making the streets come alive. Definitely a must-see spectacle during the summer should you be a... 更多

This area is one of the most interesting in Edmonton and what I like about it is the overall feeling. The city is apparently opening up more areas for al fresco dining and on a warm summer evening the vibe is exciting and relaxed at the same time.
There are some interesting and unique shops here so it's fun to browse even if you don't buy anything. A number of restaurants are located here too -- pretty much something for everyone's tastes and budget
We spent two days at the Varscona and thus wandered up and down Whyte Ave at length. That was enough, it's nice enough. Lots of shopping, empty businesses, outdoor seating on very uncomfortable chairs, with the exception of Boston Pizza. Been there done that now.
This is a walkable section of a very old part of the city, across the river from the head office and arts district. The architecture as much as possible has been reserved, it is home to the famous Fringe Festival and the shops, pubs and restaurants have everything for all ages to enjoy
Visited Old Strathcona twice - once when we took Streetcar over High Level Bridge & enjoyed a stroll around this lovely old area of Edmonton, enjoyed a great Lunch at "The Next Act" and second time when we took the bus to the fantastic Saturday Market there. Brilliant Market - everything from the freshest Foods, Cakes, Garden Produce, to Souvenirs... 更多
