A lovely park area, Calgary seems very blessed by lovely open spaces, with a good size splash park which unfortunately our youngsters were unable to take advantage of as we didn't arrive sufficiently prepared with towels and spare clothing. The park is on the edge of the Glenmore Resevoir and there are lovely walks through the park, overlooking the water.
We visited today to do some beach combing for driftwood - didn't realize there is a shore walking path that heads West from the water park car park, a lovely quiet walk that it seems not many people know about. A great place for walking and admiring, it is a favorite place for kayakers. As well it is close to Heritage Park, another place well worth seeing.

The middle section has lots of benches, a picnic area, a children's playground, the sailing marina, and great pathways. For most of South Glenmore Park, there is a developed upper pathway as well as one closer to... 更多

The tennis courts are well maintained and fairly busy on summer weeknights. The views from this park are underrated. Look to the west, and it's a beautiful look at the Rockies. Look... 更多
Calgary is blessed with so many beautiful parks, and Glenmore Park (South) is one of the best. Picnic areas & walking paths galore. The view of the Rockies is spectacular.
