We are a group of 9 friends in our 40's visiting from the US, mostly from California, some from Chicago and some Houston. We visited the Calgary Chinatown on Saturday 9/3/2016. We had a wonderful experience, and I wish we had more time to explore it! We were a little bored walking the Calgary downtown area, and the unique building... 更多
Most Calgarians will have some sort of fond memory of a great meal or lunch in Chinatown, or of something seen while walking or driving through. But compared to other Chinatowns in other cities, even Canadian ones, there isn't a lot to do here except have a meal. There are a few interesting things to see, like the gorgeous Cultural... 更多
I wouldn't put this on your travel list for Calgary unless you were perhaps coming here specifically to eat or were in the area. Its located right down town and the parking is astronomical and hard to get on week days. We actually lucked out on our Saturday visit and saw they had a small dancing Dragon with the guys... 更多

If you're not looking for a thrill, scenery, or entertainment but just for some good food, go for it! Plenty of good restaurants here from many parts of Asia. The dining is inexpensive, casual, and most importantly good food. Give it a try!
Has the name china town but to me seemed nothing more than a few shops and a cultural centre dont expect san francisco style china town - worth a quick look but thats all it will be
The Chinatown here in downtown Calgary is very small and not very interesting. There is Dragon City Mall which you can visit but, again, its small and there isn't much there. Personally I wouldn't make an effort to visit Chinatown, unless you were going to eat.
It doesn't take long to poke around Chinatown. There are some interesting pharmacies, Chinese gift stores and restaurants. It's authentic with reasonable prices.
