Fantastic day out at the museum - we (me and 6 year old grandson) played puff billiards, explored the Victorian schoolroom, made toast on a toasting fork, hid in an air raid shelter, milked cows and made butter, sent telegraph signals, and spent the night in a Romany caravan. Ok, some of these used a bit of imagination, (although not... 更多

Have been here twice in the last few months, once as just two adults, second time as a family with young children plus the grandparents. Thoroughly enjoyable for all age groups. The volunteers are so engaging, friendly, wanting to show you and tell you about things. The café with homemade cakes is a real treat, and very reasonably priced. We... 更多

One of the best museums I've visited in a long time. Plenty to see and do. Most of it hands on rather than being behind glass. The school room and telephone exhibits were loved by the kids.

We decided to go on a cold Sunday and were pleasantly surprised. The exhibits are interactive, volunteers are friendly and natural (not scripted) and the tearoom has lovely homemade cakes at very reasonable prices. We definitely taking our Grand Children next time.

The Volunteers do the museum proud - very knowledgeable and great with the children interacting and involving them at every opportunity. Great place as children can touch and play and learn. Visit takes about 2 hours and the telecommunications area is a definite must and a hit with my two children. Downside was the café. Despite only having about 3... 更多

Visited with our grandchildren. This is an excellent and well run hands on museum. The children thoroughly enjoyed seeing how their great grandparents/grandparents used to live and found the air raid shelter very interesting. The museum is well worth a visit and we will certainly visit again. Recommended.
Thanks so much for recommending us Eunice. It is always a bit of a shock to those of us who... 更多
We had our grandson aged 8 years old who enjoyed the hands on activities and enjoyed all the various experiences of music, life in Milton Keynes, communication and transport. Will definitely visit the museum again.

Visited Saturday 11th February 2017 with Hubby, our daughter 31, and her partner 36. What a surprise it was too. The parlour had a roaring real fire, and lots of treasures to touch, play with and the pianola was fun to try and make music. There was another room with wind up music gramophone and we were encouraged to look,... 更多

Great experience for children, really interactive. I mistakenly thought it was going to be all about Milton Keynes but infact it's a series of really interesting collections from the past. Plenty to keep little people occupied - we will be back!
We're delighted you intend to come back because we are growing all the time, trying to add to the experience... 更多
