I loved this museum! It was very well organized, with multiple rooms explaining every aspect of traditional old-life at San Miguel de Allende: from the way people thought to the way they lived. You can walk thru some rooms decorated like they used to during the 1800's, which gives you a glance into how was life for the upper classes, and... 更多
Beautiful old building with a lot of history..Each room is described as it was when the family lived there. Furniture and artifacts are interesting.
This hacienda was entertaining. The main history was in Spanish and English. The descriptions of objects were in Spanish only. Apparently they have a play as well but we didn't stay for it.
If you want to know something about Ingnacio Allende who together (and sometimes against) Hidalgo was one of the most important persons of the rebellion against the Spanish Crown in 1810 you really must visit this house of the Allende family dating back to the 18th century. The atmosphere of this mansion where you can see how a rich family... 更多
self guided tour through the home of a leader of the revolution. signs in both spanish and english in each of the rooms.
this small museum can be visited in about an hour. it covers the life and times of ignacio allende. the house itself is as much of interest as was the historical displays. much of the information boards are translated o english, which was appreciated. it is easy to get to, directly adjacent to the jardin. there is a small entry... 更多
We loved seeing the inside of Allende's beautiful, colonial mansion and learning about his family and role in the Mexican Independence movement. In English and Spanish.
Allende house is well laid out with very good displays. The more Spanish you have the better it will be of course. But the first time I went there I had very little and I still enjoyed it. Seeing the house of Ignacio Allende is a very inexpensive and delightful way to spend a couple of hours
For those of us who know little of Spanish Colonial history, this house is a must - a good insight into life of the elite in Spanish Mexico. Eye opening and very sensitively presented. Even without English everywhere (there are many signs in English, not all), it is easy to understand the rooms and furnishings. A must see on any... 更多
