We parked at the Putt-Putt, which is the closest to the colourful beach houses. It is so nice to see people enjoying the beach area for volleyball, surfing, jogging, walking their dogs, etc.
We do the walk from Muizenberg to Kalk Bay often and always stop for a swim or to take another set of photographs. There is a great tidal swimming pool so it is very popular for families with children. If you are looking at spending the day at St James make sure you get there early.

Kalk Bay is probably the place to visit on the Indian Ocean side south of Cape Town. It is always very busy and can be prone to slow and queuing traffic. Great place to loll an afternoon with activity all round. Korky's Fish 'n chips is a must try on the port..no frills... but full of characters.
