First off, the place is absolutely lovely. This was a private home donated by the founder of the library. The staff is very welcoming and the library itself offers a variety of activities. The house tour is wonderful. As captioned above, three houses are visited after a talk on the history of Merida. It's well worth the cost for those... 更多
This charming library has a good selection of books, and lots of activities, too. I really like the walking tours they do to see some of Merida's beautiful homes.
First - double check the day and time here- it varies during the year. We visited 3 homes after a 30 minute talk on the history of Merida and its architecture. The money from your ticket goes to support the library Very interesting rehab scene going on here- fun to see what hides behind Merida walls and doors

My family of four with two kids (ages 7 and 10) enjoyed visiting the English Library just to read different books while we were there. The people were very nice and the setting is clean and lovely. The garden is welcoming. If we were in town for longer we would have bought a membership.
I felt honored to be invited to participate in their Monday night Language Exchange Program. I hosted the table for locals who wanted to improve their English language skills. It was just an added component to my vacation week in Merida.
