They have good books, that aren't too easy to find. Books not that common to see. They have many books and many different sections. There is a sections just for kids of all ages. This library is run by volunteers for the the English speaking residents and visitors in Merida. It is a lovely building with a nice collection of books to borrow or buy. My family of four with two kids (ages 7 and 10) enjoyed visiting the English Library just to read different books while we were there. The people were very nice and the setting is clean and lovely. The garden is welcoming. If we were in town for longer we would have bought a membership.
I felt honored to be invited to participate in their Monday night Language Exchange Program. I hosted the table for locals who wanted to improve their English language skills. It was just an added component to my vacation week in Merida.
The library was close to where we were staying so went on 2 house tours which we really enjoyed.
