This Church and Parish is not a tourist attraction, but it is a focal point of Island Life. One must be aware of the importance the church has in the make up of the Mexican People. We were fortunate to be present during The Posada celebration.
This lovely church takes up one side of the square. It is well worth a visit. On the other side of the square, local people set up tables, cookers, etc., and sell homemade foods in the evening. Once the sun sets, this place gets hopping with local vendors, ball games and pay to play (trampoline & go carts) for the little kids. Local teams play basketball and anyone can watch for free.
