I really enjoyed taking the walk up the narrow lighthouse stairs to the top for an amazing 360 degree view of the south point of Cozumel. Took some great photos and enjoyed the cool wind at the top. Very interesting displays of the history of the lighthouse and maritime artifacts of the past. All together a great few hours.
Built in 1901, the Faro at Punta Celarain is a well-preserved, historical landmark that should be on your list of things to do in Cozumel. Well worth it for the view from the top of the lighthouse. Just spectacular. ascent of the lighthouse not recommended for the claustrophobic or those who can't squeeze through tight spaces. Even if you skip the ascent, there's plenty to see: nice little museum and interesting beach.
We walked up all the steps of the Lighthouse and took pictures out the windows. The ocean was interesting and a bit rough. We shopped there and I purchased a black coral necklace. A Great Buy.
Punta Sur by any other name. Park closes at 3P, so come early. Lighthouse is open to the public, you can climb it, the stairs are steep and you'll have squeeze by each other going up and down. Not sure how we make it work, but we're able to climb it without a problem each and every time.
The climb is so worth it. Make sure you stop at the gators and go up to the tower. The look down to see the gator was so cool. To know how close you can get with out even seeing them is a wonder. But at the main attracton, the museum is very cool. Lots of history. Make sure you... 更多
Climb to the top of the lighthouse and take in the beautiful view then walk down to the beach to sit and relax in the sun or shade on one of the chairs near the water. Very tranquil and relaxing...
