The Museum director Alberto gave us a wonderful insight into the treasures held at this first class museum. I highly recommend it to anyone spending time in Cuernavaca.
I had only a limited time in Cuernavaca for Spanish study. A trip to the Brady Museum in the heart of downtown should be on everyone's short list. The entrance fee is not high, but you should opt to pay the extra $15 U.S. for a guided tour to explain all of the art and history that are here or... 更多
The art and decor of this are extraordinary. The curator stopped by to give us great additional information about the history and art work.
For many art lovers, this house has an interesting eclectic collection. For me, the architecture, colors and decoration of the house are awesome. This is a typical downtown house in Cuernavaca, from the outside, it doesn´t say much, once you're inside, the architecture is amazing, the patios, the perfectly well preserved kitchen and Brady's particular decoration are worth visiting.
IS a very interesting place where you can realize the intellectual environment that took place in Cuernavaca the last quarter of the XXth century. In Cuernavaca were living important personallities from the intellectual, arttistic and philosohical world. The collection is quite unique and is "must" if you visit this city.
Such an eclectic collection-miniature sculptures of the Last Supper where they're all eating slices of watermelon, posters of Josephine Baker in the amazingly-tiled bathroom, and it's right up against the cathedral. A great place to spend a couple of hours.
Interesting guy . . . I don't know much about him but he seemed to know everyone in the art world and they all gave him art. Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, and more. I recommend hiring a guide to explain all the stuff. Otherwise you'll be walking through someone's house which is filled to the brim with stuff and wonder,... 更多
From the big wood doors that face the street, to the sitting area at the terrace, everything about this was enchanting.. it was old true Mexican architecture. It was like being in a time warp. The extensive art collection, paintings, sculptures, from Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South America, North America, all very tastefully displayed, my kids ages 12 and 9... 更多
What a great museum!!! We spent well over an hour going through each room and admiring all of the art pieces. It's a world wide collection of eclectic pieces. The house itself is a worthwhile visit but the art, including Frida Kahlo originals, is definitely a top destination in Cuernavaca.
One mans house, collection, passion, hobby, life? A place to be savoured and enjoyed, peaceful and tranquil and packed with art works from around the world. A true bohemian
