This is a great place to learn about the early history of the Costa Grande area of the state of Guerrero if you read either Spanish or English. Some may think that a museum might be boring while on vacation, but this one is quite informative and can be enjoyed quickly.
I was a bit disappointed in this museum. They are in a fairly large beautiful space but the actual museum had little to display. The majority of what was displayed was only described in Spanish. There was no fee, rather donations appreciated.
We enjoyed the different artifacts some dating back 500 years. It would have been more pleasurable if the signs were in English so could read them.
This museum has some interesting artifacts and provides some good historical background, but is a small venue. There is a nominal charge to enter the site. The host staff are friendly and able to answer questions about the historical items. It's worth a stop if you are wandering near Playa Principal.
