Great trip just east of Mazatlan worth the time and effort. We went in our own vehicle, but it is possible to hire a vehicle or use one of the tour companies. An interesting village with a large artisan population, a fascinating architectural spread, a wonderful historic church, (beware of the loose handrails, or you could end up some distance... 更多
I planned to travel there by bus only to learn that there was no return bus that day. My plan was to spend the day and explore and paint. Subsequently I went on a tour which I would not recommend. Short stops in various villages, led to 'shopping opportunities'. Ultimately, I was glad I did go because it is out... 更多
Its a very old beautiful place with stone streets old houses and a church from the 1700s. worth seeing. only a couple of stores. We ate in someones home!
This used to be one of my favorite villages to visit. The old church was worth the visit, and the small shops were interesting. Long ago I even looke at a house for sale. Both restaurants were good. The coconut-banana cream pie it each was worth the drive. We drove up there in 2015 and was greatly disappointed. Every thing... 更多
We visit a different area in Mexico for vacation every year and during every trip we try, whether it's ruins, colonial towns, petroglyphs, cave paintings, to visit historical sites. I have always wanted to see the beautiful church in Copola and the Los Labradas petroglyphs. On one day we drove all the way to see the petroglyphs only to find... 更多
Going by bus tour is an experience in itself as you stop and see the furniture manufacturing facilities along the way and people doing their laundry in the streams using the old method of drying on the rocks etc. The food is great and the key lime pie the best in Mexico
We wanted a different experience from the beach so I joined a guide tour to Copala. It was about 1 and 20 mins drive. It is a cute down but very small and not much to see so we basically stopped for lunch and head back to Mazatlan.
Well worth a visit and about an hour's drive from Mazatlan if one has a car or Vista Tours does a tour there as well. This is our 3rd time visiting Copala; since our drive took place June 02, 2016 there was only one restaurant open and functioning in Copala and there was only one shop featuring excellent leather masks... 更多
We were here in 2011 and it was a great place. The restaurant that was there is now closed. The townspeople have left and its very sad. The church is still beautiful to see and the children selling their carvings are still adorable. Very few residents left.
Mazatlan Van Tours with guide Jeancarlo Jimenez Zamora. Really enjoyed the sights and this knowledge on this tour. Cathedral very beautiful, town square nice and was surprised how Copala is as big as it is. Sierra Madre Mountains Tour was well woryh the time and money. The bakery was ...yummy and interesting. The potter was really good, the tiler had... 更多
