While on holiday we visited both Hillside animals centres, we had a great day lots of rescued animals all been well looked after with information boards around and we were able to pet them. Plenty of toilets hand washing stations and refreshments available with a reasonably priced shop. We were able to take our dog in. Well worth a visit... 更多
Visited both Hillside Animal Sanctuary sites as it was a special opening weekend. Had a lovely time. Over 2000 animal spread across the sites, so much to see, we could pet the animals too. Really interesting information boards displayed often around the farms. Farm shop and cafe was very reasonably priced, lots of bric-a-brac shopping opportunities if you want to... 更多
My wife and I live in the village where the sanctuary is situated. I must confess that though we visit it regularly, we do not pay but just pass through the public footpath that goes through it. Horses, goats, ponies, highland cattle... there is a lot to see,and they do a good work.
Had a great afternoon thanks. Lovely animals and my daughter just loved the horses so much (way more animals than I imagined) and not too pricey to get in. I don't understand one review below where it said was free entry as we paid?! All animals so very well looked after- lovely play area for the young ones too -... 更多
The sanctuary is like a well-oiled machine! Restores your faith in human nature, some people do really care about our mistreated animals! The animals all look happy and very well cared for. Not to forget the staff, they were all lovely too! Well worth a visit!!
The Sanctuary is well worth a viist. Its free to get in and free parking. The horses and donkeys all are very well looked after - its wonderful to know when some of them have had sad beginnings. But they looked like they were in paradise. Very pretty place all round. We did contribute to Sanctuary - it is entirely up... 更多
Have been wanting to come to Hillside for quite some time as I regularly receive emails and newsletters from them and have discovered how much they do for animal welfare and how many investigations they have took part in. I was impressed with this sanctuary for more reasons than one! Went down a little narrow lane to get to the... 更多
Having recently donated to a Hillside appeal we visited the Frettenham site on their Open Day. The charity does amazing work rehoming neglected and abused animals and exposing cases of cruelty in intensive farming. Having seen the sanctuary for myself I can appreciate just how vital their supporter donations are. The large site is home to over 1000 rescued animals;... 更多
Definitely worth a visit. It could be marketed better (we had made 2 previous attempts to visit but the first time went to their other site which is closed to the public except on an open day and then on a Saturday when they are shut!). There is a small collection of rescued animals and horses and the site is... 更多
