A good stop off in on the peninsula. Good basic light bite food. Good value with pleasant surroundings and nice gifts. Would be better if open all year round, so OK for the main season.
We visited this place while waiting for a tour round the Ardnamurchan Distillery which is only a 2-minute walk away. It is a great place for lunch or a snack, with a fabulous view over the loch. Great gift shop. We arrived on the last day before the centre is to due close for the winter months.
We had a lovely lunch which was well priced. Service was quick and friendly. The centre is in the process of being further improved after many years of neglect. We left saying what a nice place and friendly person. We were to find out a few minutes later just what a kind person runs this place. We happened upon an... 更多
Great visitor centre with very knowledgeable staff, great cafe and lots of other useful bits and pieces to buy (maps, guides, confectionery, gifts, posters, postcards, unique wooden items, crystals etc.). Good place to buy peanuts to feed the Pine Martens and Badgers :-) Closed out of season though (End of October through to May)
Chilly bright October day during the schools hols finds my son and I cycling between strontianite and ardnamurchan. A stunning road with sightings of rum, tiree and Coll with bird life galore. Lunchtime found us passing the ardnamurchan visitors centre where hearty minestrone, rich hot chocolate and a scrum my slice of carrot cake fuelled the return leg. Friendly and... 更多
We were on our way to the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, which took longer than we expected, and happened on this place. It was great for a light lunch and tea before we headed on. The view and the atmosphere of the place is pleasant and relaxing. There is an exhibit and they sell some nature-related items also.
Lovely cafe to stop and eat at and browse. New owners are working very hard and seem to be putting their mark on the place. The exhibition is interesting but outdated and the space could be used as an outdoor wear shop perhaps as there aren't many on the peninsula. Would return!
We were on our way to Sanna when came across the visitor centre and cafe. A very warm welcome, great coffee and cakes. Enjoyed browsing the gifts and artwork. Lots of wildlife around... Binoculars came in handy.
An interesting place to visit, with beautiful views, a bird watchers paradise. Plenty of wildlife to see around the centre. The small cafe sells lovely cakes, sandwiches and we sampled the jacket potatoes, they were delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Definitely worth a visit.
