Well worth a visit. Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of information around the site as you wonder around. Restoration work going on but this did not spoil our visit. Would think children would love it. Plenty of history for everyone. Free parking a bonus
Unusually well preserved medieval attraction. The castle itself is very attractive and the history is fascinating. The setting and views are beautiful There are information boards scattered around the castle to help inform guests. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The car park is free and has a toilet.
We visit this castle every year, and it is beautiful as always! A great treat this year was a medievel festival at the same time. These festivals in Britain are much more about the history ( weapons, clothes, medicinal options) than those in the US. A great day! Join CADW for the best value when touring castles of Wales.
this castle is in a lovely welsh village setting and is steeped in history, the staff were friendly and helpful , the views from the castle are beautiful , the castle as you approach it looks like a romantic fairy tale castle where you can imagine a princess living . loved just wandering round freely and discovering the castles history... 更多
Travelling back to Midlands we felt need to walk off a hearty Welsh Breakfast. I have been aware of the Castle for many years and often thought about stopping for a visit which we did on this journey back from Cardiff. I'm glad we did. The structure is reasonably intact but is more interesting as it is the start of... 更多
Looks very impressive as you drive up to the castle, and it is indeed an romantic looking ruin. You can freely wander around the castle but the information posted about each area is not very comprehensive. Takes an hour at most to explore.
Very disappointed, grounds unkempt and a very rude member of staff. New wooden cart 'sculpture' requires clear health and safety signage if not a piece of children's play equipment as it appears. We have enjoyed several visits prior to this but will not be returning.
I am sorry to hear that your recent visit to Raglan Castle did not meet your expectations. I have passed... 更多
We saw it from the side of the road and decided to stop. It was a good call!! It is very interesting castle with medieval feel to it. You can imagine knights walking in those rooms and courtyards. This was definitely one of the best castles we have visited.
Like most of the castles in Wales managed by Cadw, the ruins are in a really good state of repair and most of the castle is open to explore, more than you'd expect which makes the visit all the more worthwhile. Kids will love it there is lots of space to run and play :-)
