Great dive and snorkeling shipwreck experience. A few sections, lots of fish and plenty to see. Have been here several times and love the history associated with Sapona.
We did the sapona with our kids. We were concerned about the winds but it wasn't bad at all. My husband saw a ray. At the back of the ship we saw a good amount of fish but the number of types isn't a ton. If you are looking for a different type of snorkel this is a good one.... 更多
Over the course of several years of cruising the Bahamas in our boat we have visited the Sapona many times. There are always a number of fish in the area and generally you will see a shark or two. The wreck itself was a concrete ship and after service it was used by the U.S. for target practice during WWII,... 更多
So let me tell you about Sapona..... For the first time in my life I go snorkeling in a ship wreck. The experience was fascinating. I was able to swim inside the ship hull and see all the fish that are inside. I even had enough time to swim around the ship and I have to say that it was... 更多
In an ethereal setting, the old concrete ship rusted in the aquamarine waters off Bimini. 15-20 feet underwater the old ship provided a superb snorkeling location. We saw stingrays, grouper, and many other fish. A must see. Do not miss.
My mother, my best friend and I did this tour. Even though I REALLY wanted to do the dolphin swim, they objected and this seemed like the more family-friendly option. We boarded the ship, which was fairly big for the group. The crew was fairly interactive and gave a brief history lesson on the shipwreck. They all seemed really knowledgeable.... 更多
A 20 minute boat ride from Resorts World. Very cool, old reinforced concrete ship that run aground some 90 years ago. Fun to jump from and explore. I'd recommend wearing water shoes though if possible, as I burnt my feet pretty bad from walking on the deck and its exposed rebar. Will probably fall apart one of these days, so... 更多
They said it would take 35 minutes, 1 hour 15 minutes we arrived. It took the capitan over and hour to park. We were on able to snorkel for 15-20 minutes. Visibility was not good and there were too many boats and people there. Then back for another hour. I would not recommend this trip to anyone. JC
This is a great snorkeling site. It is different from your regular reef snorkeling because there isn't any coral or anything however there were a lot of awesome fish as well as some rays hanging out at the bottom of the boat. We saw some people jumping off of it but I don't think I would get up there to... 更多
