There are only 7 parking spots, but this is a very small beach. The black rock to the side is very striking! The sand is soft and pretty easy access to this beach. The snorkeling is pretty good.
Had avoided it because it doesn't have a lot of parking and thought the hike was longer than it is. Very pleasant and a decent snorkeling. It's closer in to Cruz bay so a few minutes shorter than going to Trunk which is around the corner. Will definitely go back
Holy wow is what I was thinking as I swam along the reefs that line either side of this cute little beach that shares the same bay as famous trunk bay. This is our 4th trip to St. John but our 1st to Jumbie & I'm so glad we finally stopped here. The parking lot is small so we got... 更多
Right before Trunk Bay, you will see a little sign that says "Jumbie Beach." Take a short hike down and "bang" gorgeous beach ahead! It can get a little crowded, but for the most part, you are all alone most days. Great snorkeling and swimming.
Quiet. Uncrowded. Bliss. There are no facilities, parking is minimal & the snorkeling isn't great but while everyone is crowding into Maho, Hawksnest, Trunk or Honeymoon, slip away to Jumbie if you want a simple, relaxing beach day.
Well in all honesty, it was my Red Stripe Lager and my own babe, but there were some pretty cool locals (donkeys) also enjoying the beach. Gorgeous scenery, excellent snorkeling with the plentiful fish, rays, and a couple of reef sharks. A trilobite fossil embedded on the shoreline was cool as well. We didn't have any surge or current to... 更多
Jumbie is tiny, with no facilities except for its' natural beauty and wonderful snorkeling. Probability about 80% you will encounter a school of Blue Tang, to enhance your snorkeling experience. Otherwise, the beach is rarely crowded, and always wonderful./
It's a smaller beach and as with most north shore beaches in the fall/winter, the swells are pretty large. We had kids with us and had to leave because of a slight under-current in some areas. Due to the current caused by the surf we didn't venture too far out. It's a short hike down a trail, but not too... 更多
We went to Jumbie on a Saturday and there was no body there. We had the small beach to ourselves! The water was great and we snorkled with turtles, rays, and a few reef sharks. Perfect day!
Nice small sandy beach. The snorkeling was great! We returned to this beach a second time as we enjoyed the snorkeling so much. There are only 6 parking places here so the beach is never crowded. Good opportunity to combine snorkeling with a bit of relaxing on the sandy beach.
