A very short ride, taxi or rental car to a very nice beach. Not overcrowded and it has easy parking. A short walk to the beach --- but it will make you sweat, if you're carrying the cooler(like me). We buy a cheap($7-8) styrofoam cooler at St John Market and bring our rum and Cokes. No services here except rest... 更多
We were taken there based on a suggestion from a taxi driver. At the time, I was not able to get in the water due t a hand injury that required sutures. My wife enjoyed the location and the beach is lovely. It appears to be more of a local's and insider's beach. When we left, we stepped up to... 更多
Water is beautiful. We saw two stingrays that stayed with us for approximately 20 minutes. The kids played all day in the water. The grills were conveniently placed.
Another beautiful St.John Beach. To reach it, you will need to park your vehicle and reach it on foot (a couple of miles), but it's definitely worth the hike. I recommend this beach for people who are in good shape, with little gear to carry.
Although this is the first beach you'll pass, it was our favorite for the week. No fee charged (like trunk bay) and good facilities like grills and restrooms. Snorkeling was probably the best we experienced--looking out from the beach, there seem to be 3 reefs. The two reefs to the left are the best. There are areas that seem shallow... 更多
There's lots of great snorkeling on St. John and yes Trunk Bay is great (always worth a visit and the beach itself the greatest) but my family and I fell in love with Hawksnest. Nice beach and the snorkeling is amazing! Don't need to go far out and in fact some of the most shallow areas offer an amazing world... 更多
There are bathrooms so that's a plus and it is free to get in. The only thing is the beach is not that long so when it gets crowded you'll feel it. Great snorkeling here also. No food or beverage so make sure you bring stuff with you..
Hawksnest is a beautiful - serene beach - surrounded by rocks and national parks. The water is crystal clear, warm, full of coral and gorgeous fish. You can also spot sea turtles here.
