If you're cruising, these 2 shops are located in Havensight Mall, which is literally right at the port. And, although this may not be a "ship recommended" shop, most seasoned cruisers know what it takes to become a "recommended" shop, and not all store owners choose to buy into the program. That being said, I can't remember ever dealing with... 更多
It's a cute shopping area just really walk around and find the best deals. Some stores over great deals and others are highly priced. The stored in the alley like Paradise Mix offer some really generous deals. Paradise mix was where we got most of our gifts. There are a lot of restaurants offering a variety of food and drinks.... 更多
The stop at this mall was because is was close to the pier to the cruise that I took. The mall has many stores and a drugstore which facilitates shopping at a free port in the Island of St. Thomas. The prices are the same as the stores located downtown. It also has two restaurants and supermarket.
Havensight Mall is right where many of the ships dock. St. Thomas is a duty free port which means you don't pay any tax on what you buy and don't have to declare it (up to a limit) when you get home. You will save about 5-10% on jewelry over prices elsewhere in the Caribbean and there is a great... 更多
I was really disappointed in this shopping area. Most stores all sold the exact same thing, trinkets and cheap souvenirs. I would not recommend this.
Can not avoid this mall if you arrive by cruise. No matter what, you have to walk through it. Plenty of everything here, from junk trinkets to booze to (the ubiquitous) jewelry stores. Beware the ride hawkers. Just a little way down the road is a bus stop, and the rates are minimal. It's worth it, I guess, since it's... 更多
Cruise ship central. Everything a tourist could want to prove they were in the Virgin Islands, without actually visiting the Virgin Islands. Outdoor mall with lots of security. My advice.. Get in a cab for a 5 minute drive and really visit Charlotte Amalie. Or better yet, walk the 15 minutes around the harbor. Adventure time!
spent some time walking thru the shops of the mall during our cruise on the Norwegian Escape. There were lots of options and the prices seemed quite reasonable.
You'll be happy If you're looking for trinkets or small gifts otherwise take a short taxi ride downtown for better atmosphere and shopping. It's basically a strip mall with nothing really discounted as advertised (e.g. Hugo boss retailer had maybe one or two items despite their advertising).
