HUPS returned to STc to dive the Pier as it is one of the great dives in the Caribbean. N2 the Blue Dive shop helped organize the trip and I cannot say enough good things about this dive shop. The pier is a macro photographer's paradise with lots of juvenile critters and fish, lots of octopus, and the night dive... 更多
If you are a diver or a snorkeler you must visit the Frederiksted pier. As soon as we entered the water and approached the pier we were enveloped in a large bait ball. On either side of the bait ball we saw barracuda as well as tarpon. Doing the entire pier revealed many surprises. Lots of fish of all sizes,... 更多
I am told that the pier is about 1,500 feet long. It juts out into the sea off the west coast of St Croix. Since there are no ships in the low season, anyone can take a walk out to the end of the pier at almost any time of day. The gates close at night. It would probably be... 更多
We went with SCUBA and did a dive at the pier. It was truly amazing. One of the best dives we did all week in St Croix. Lots of fish and great life under the pier. Cruise ships do not come here in the summer so it makes a great place to dive. Very interesting.
Everything was closed down on the Monday that we were there. Even the public bathrooms. We went to have lunch at Polly's Pier, but their hours had changed, so that was a bust, too. Bummer. Lesson learned: double check before you head that way.
We walked the cruise ship pier and took a few pictures. There wasn't much going on in Frederiksted the day we were there. There were a couple of people who jumped in near the ladders, and one man fishing. Not much else to say... It's a pier.
No traffic at the pier, nor docked vessels, just occasional birds and practicing divers.Great view of the surrounding shorelines without obstruction. Clean and well maintained ( restrooms not open, though)
Walking on the pier is beautiful- in the beginning the tile patios with the fountains and palm trees look great!! The pier is an amazing place to take pictures. Bring your bathing suit and jump off the pier and there are ladders to get back up. Better yet bring snorkel gear- you won't regret it!! The piers are covered in... 更多
