Everyone seems to gravitate to the Coral Gardens reef. It can get crowded but well worth the visit. We saw turtles and loads of colorful fish. I out swam a barracuda. (Ok, the barracuda did not actually chase me...his/her look did make me swim fast though). This is my nephew's favorite place to be on Turks and Caicos because of... 更多
We rented snorkelling gear and swam out from the beach to see what we could see. My husband being more experienced, covered more area & saw more in terms of beautiful coral & varieties of fish. I struggled a bit with the breathing, took on a bit of water :) ,but was amazed at what I did see. Especially a pretty ,aqua... 更多
You can pay for a boat excursion or you can just walk off shore and see some of the most spectacular snorkeling on the island! We did this snorkel location twice during our one week trip to T&C….we saw sea turtles, sting rays, yellow tuna, grouper, a lion fish and so much more. We talked to several of the other... 更多
Fun place to snorkel right off the beach. My daughter is afraid to go on a snorkeling boat so this was perfect for her. Need to bring your own towels and there's no umbrellas so be prepared. We walked from the Sands which is a good walk and took a cab back.
Why my family didn't read the signs I don't know but we all managed to go beyond the ropes and hear a very strange noise, which others told us was to tell us to get back on the other side of the ropes. Oops. What I really liked about the reef was on the back side of it, that is... 更多
I'm not a strong swimmer, and I'm worried about fish bigger than my face, so the Coral Garden Reef is great for me. It's just off the beach, near the Coral Gardens resort. Great for beginners, adults and children alike. And the resort staff at Coral Gardens are SO understanding and welcoming to everyone coming to the reef! Kudos to... 更多
This is a great roped off reef for first time snorkelers. The day we visited was very windy. The kids were able to hold on to the rope and watch the fish. They were super excited to see a barracuda!!
The first time I went snorkelling in TCI was at Coral Gardens. I was amazed! The sizes and colours of the fish and coral made me want to go back for more. I did, but only after I had been to several other amazing spots. When I returned, it seemed a lot less than what I had made it to... 更多
If you like snorkeling make sure to visit Coral Gardens (bring your own snorkel equip) that is located next to Beaches resort. It is free and they have underwater signage explaining what is what and reminds me of a walk through the botanical gardens.
We did this 3x in 2 weeks , March 2015, and each time we were the only ones (2 adult couples) in the area. Very nice experience, especially for novice to intermediate snorkelers. Much of the coral in the shallows is beaten up but that a little farther offshore (50-100') is still pretty healthy. Fish variety was very good, including... 更多
We were in the water constantly while on Provo. The water is so perfect. Temperature great and amazing fish and coral. Saw many different fish and the coral is so lovely. Only thing you have to watch for boaters coming close.
Since this is a protected reef, you have to stay within the buoy markers. Its like swimming in an aquarium...lots of parrot fish, puffers, grouper and a sea turtle that was inches from my face. Perfect location since it is walkable from hotels on Grace Bay beach.
